TO: Members and Friends of TC-CCAI
THANK YOU: Major thanks to all of the companies that have signed up and are now advertising in our Chapter Newsletter. In addition to our newsletter, everyone will see these ads whenever they check out our Chapter Web Site. We appreciate our advertiser’s participation with the TC Chapter Newsletter.
PROGRAM YEAR: It’s December already and the TC Chapter has sponsored three events of interest to our local finishing industry with two dinner meetings relating to energy costs and waste reduction and process efficiency. We also sponsored a very successful plant tour with 48 people in attendance.
We take a break from Chapter activities in December and then start right up in January 2008 with some high interest events for your attendance. You will have a variety mix to choose from with two plant tours and one dinner meeting featuring a presentation on infrared curing. We will also have a knock out all day seminar dedicated to Identifying and Correcting Finishing Defects and Rejects.
More specific program detail info is contained in this newsletter. We expect to see some very nice turnout attendance and we hope to see you there as well.
Thank you to all of our members and guests who have attended our first three Chapter events. We will continue our efforts to present a program year of events that will offer you choice, information and knowledge.
MINNESOTA PAINT & POWDER COATING EXPO 2009 Believe it or not, the committee has been formed and has had its initial meeting. The MINNESOTA PAINT and POWDER COATING EXPO is planned for March 18th for the all day symposium and March 19th for the technical presentations and vendor exhibits. Paul Pagel and Tim Milner are the co-chairs for the Expo event and Jim Henningsen is the Facilities Coordinator for the Expo.
POT OF MONEY: We continue to feature the Pot-of-Money drawing at our monthly meetings. At each regular monthly meeting we will be drawing a paid up and current member’s name to give a reward ($25.00+) to that member if he or she is present at the meeting. Membership Chairman Jim Henningsen is in charge of the monthly drawing.
NEW MEMBERS: A reminder that this year we have initiated a new program “Guest of the TC Board” This program will allow a new Chapter member to receive his first regular dinner meeting or tour event that the member attends free. The TC Chapter Board will pick up the charge for the qualified new member attending his first meeting as a Twin Cities Chapter new member. New members, when you attend your first meeting this year, look up Membership Chairman Jim Henningsen and let him know you are in attendance. If you can’t get to Jim during your first meeting, let me know or in fact any of the Chapter Board members present and you will be covered.
MEET YOUR BOARD of DIRECTOR MEMBERS Elsewhere in this newsletter we are featuring a background on five of our Board of Director members. Our next newsletter will have a background on the balance of the Board Members. For a look at the complete Board membership check out our Chapter web site www.ccatc.com and then click onto CCA TC BOARD.
WEB SITES: Thanks to Web Master Roger Nelsen our Chapter web site is alive and well. For a review of past activities as well as coming events check in at our/your web site; Twin Cities Chapter CCAI at www.ccatc.com. For information regarding the National CCAI organization visit their Web Site at www.ccaiweb.com.
WORDS TO CONSIDER: There is no philosophy by which one can do a thing when they think they can’t.
CCAI MISSION STATEMENT The Chemical Coaters Association International is a technical and professional organization that provides information and training on surface coating technologies.
On behalf of the CCAI Twin Cities Chapter Board of Directors, I welcome you not only to our coming January 17th tour of McLean Thermal, but to all of our TC Chapter events during this Chapter program year.
