TC-CCAI OCTOBER DINNER MEETING REPORT

Our October TC Chapter event was a dinner meeting presentation by Jim Radford, President of OTF held at O’Gara’s in St. Paul. Jim gave an in-depth report on how a custom coater or manufacturing facility can improve energy efficiencies in their daily operations.

Subjects covered by Jim included efficient use of LP and natural gas; electric bill components examined and broken down; cost control for end users in forming an Energy Action Plan and a discussion on available industrial energy rebates and incentives. Jim also detailed two actual energy case studies of a powder custom coater operation and a large OEM that went from a paint to a powder coating system.

The presentation ended with a Q & A session. Overall the event was very informative with updated topics on energy areas of interest to custom coaters and OEM’s in today’s   business atmosphere.
