2008-2009 TC CHAPTER PROGRAM WRAP UP

GOLF CLASSIC – June 24th was the date of our Chapter Golf Classic and it was very much a success. The 74 players that played golf had a sunny blue sky day for the golf outing. To be expected, there was a whole lot of socializing before, during and after the golfing event. This was the second year of golfing at Stonebrooke Golf Club. Once again, the course was in fine condition and the folks at Stonebrooke put out a top notch buffet dinner for the attendees.

Golf Classic chairman Doug VanDuyne was assisted in the golf event by Chapter Golf Committee members Angela Kokesh and Jim Docken. Also joining in during the day to lend a hand were Jim Henningsen, Deb Savage and, Mark Walsworth.

POT of MONEY DRAWING – We had our regular meeting Pot of Money drawing at the Golf Classic. The name of TC member Mark Ringsred of Midway Industrial Supply was drawn. Unfortunately Mark was not present for the $50.00 cash give away.

THANK YOU, TC-CCAI Board of Directors – My two year term as TC Chapter President went by unbelievably fast. Working with the talented group of finishing professionals who serve on our TC-CCAI Board of Directors was really a pleasure and in one way or another each of the board members helped to make for two years of successful Chapter programs and activities including another very successful Minnesota Paint & Powder Expo event.

 
THANK YOU, Phil Ruggiero and Roger Nelsen – Phil and Roger continue to do an outstanding job in their capacities of TC Chapter Coordinator (Phil) and TC Chapter Webmaster (Roger). Our Chapter is recognized not only in the Minnesota finishing community but also has gained regional and national recognition through our Chapter Newsletter (Phil) and our Chapter Website (Roger). Absolutely great work guys!

THANK YOU, Anne Goyer and the National CCAI staff – Under the leadership and guidance of Anne Goyer, the National CCAI organization runs a very efficient operation. CCAI has recently initiated a Chapter President’s conference call where every few months CCAI Chapter Presidents can share ideas and concerns and generally compare notes on chapter happenings. Anne is also pulling together post activity reports from various CCAI Chapter programs which can be reviewed for possible activation by other chapters. These are just a couple of examples of the assistance that CCAI National offers to the local chapters. Anne and her staff keep the CCAI on the track in a resourceful and professional manner.

CONGRATULATIONS Mark Walsworth – Mark has been elected to serve as our new TC-CCAI Board President for the coming Chapter year. Mark brings many years of finishing industry experience and is an excellent choice to lead our local Chapter in the months to come.
