Greetings to members and friends of the Twin Cities Chapter of the CCAI. Following is a review of some of our latest TC Chapter activities.

CYBEX INTERNATIONAL - In September, we toured Cybex International in Owatonna. 60 attendees were present for the tour of the entire manufacturing & powder coating process. Very interesting tour of a company committed to manufacturing its product line in the United States.

GEARGRID CORPORATION - In October, we toured GearGrid Corporation in Forest Lake, MN. Our tour started with an a.m. assortment of bagels, coffee and juice. After a full tour of the manufacturing and powder coating departments we had an extensive discussion on specific areas of powder coating.

POT of MONEY DRAWINGS - Kevin Sundlin of GearGrid was a $25.00 winner at our Cybex tour event as he was present when his name was drawn. Unfortunately, Richard Link of Dalsin Industries was NOT present when his name was drawn at the October 17th tour event. The November meeting drawing will be worth $50.00

NOVEMBER DINNER MEETING - On Thursday, November 20th, we will have a presentation on hook and rack design practices. The presentation will include discussion on maximizing line density and minimizing rejects. A real pro in the rack & hook design business, Bill Oney of American Finishing Resources will be the presenter. Check out our TC Chapter web site for further details and meeting sign up info. MINNESOTA PAINT & POWDER EXPO - March 18-19, 2009 will offer unique opportunities to paint and powder applicators as well as manufactures of industrial finishing equipment. Our web site will give you full detail on the events that will be of interest to many in our finishing community.

TC-CCAI MEMBERSHIP – Currently our Chapter is 100 members strong. Our very active Chapter board of directors continues their best effort to present valuable and interesting meeting topics and tour events that will be of benefit for all those who attend. Anyone considering joining the TC-CCAI feel free to contact me or any members of our board of director. We welcome all new members to our ranks.
