NEWSLETTER ITEM #3
LETTER FROM TWIN CITIES CHAPTER PRESIDENT
PAT CULLEN
TO: Members and Friends of TC-CCAI
PROGRAM YEAR: At
Chapter meetings and as I am out and about, I have been receiving some very
positive comments about our TC Chapter
program dinner presentations and plant tours. Our all day seminar in February
was another good example of a successful Chapter program
event with 53 people in attendance. In addition to the past program presenters
and the manufacturing plants that have opened their doors
for a tour, we need to really thank our TC Board of Directors who have not only
offered event ideas but have actually chaired and arranged
an event or tour.
We have just three more
Chapter events for the remainder of the program year; one each in April, May and
June as advertised elsewhere
in our Newsletter and Chapter web site.
THANK YOU: We
send a very special thank you to each of the manufacturing plants that have
opened their plant doors to us this program
year and given our TC-CCAI personalized tours of their facilities. During our
2007-08 Program Year we have toured Standard Iron in
Sauk Center, MN, McLean Thermal in Champlin, MN and Life Fitness
in Ramsey, MN. Thanks again to the management of these fine
Minnesota business for their time and hospitality to our TC Chapter.
MEET YOUR BOARD OF
DIRECTORS: This issue of the Newsletter concludes a brief interview with
each of the remaining members of our
Board of Directors that were not interviewed in the last issue. Even though I
personally know each Board member, it has been very enjoyable
for me to get to know them better yet through the brief interview process. If
you have read the background on each of our members you
must have noticed the one item that each has in common regarding their TC-CCAI
membership is meeting and networking with the members
and industry associates that come to our various Chapter events.
As to another member of the
Board - Pat Cullen lives in Hastings with his wife Marty. Pat has three
married children and time with five
grandchildren is a major hit outside of the business world for Pat. I joined
the TC-CCAI as a charter member many years ago and let my
membership lapse for a bit, but have been back anew since 1991. Like our other
board members, meeting and networking with associates
from the industrial coating industry is one of the major rewards from my
membership. Keeping up to date on industry coatings and
application equipment changes is important too.
Bottom line, the TC-CCAI Board
of Directors is first rate, professional and fun to be around. All are working
to improve our local finishing
industry and promote the goals of the CCAI.
Also closely supporting the TC
Board of Directors and written up in the past are two other important members
of our Chapter; Phil Ruggiero
Chapter Coordinator and Roger Nelsen our Chapter Web Master.
DON’T FORGET: Check out our Chapter web site
that is routinely kept up to date with news of coming Chapter events and reports
of past
events
www.ccatc.com.
WORDS TO CONSIDER: The person who says “It can’t be done” is often interrupted by the person who is doing it.
CCAI MISSION STATEMENT:
The Chemical Coaters Association International is a
technical and professional organization that provides information and training
on surface
coating technologies.
INVITATION: All CCAI members
as well as those associated with the industrial finishing industry are welcome
at our Chapter events. We look
forward to seeing you soon.
